NHS examinations
NHS eye examinations and vouchers accepted. We provide NHS eye examinations for all entitled groups as listed below:
- Aged 60 years or over
- Under 16 years old
- Under 19 years old and in full time education
- Income support
- Income based job seekers allowance
- Income-related employment and support allowance
- Pension credit guarantee
- Tax credit and named on a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
- Named on a valid HC2 certificate
- Registered blind or partially sighted
- Suffer from diabetes or glaucoma
- Diagnosed at risk of glaucoma by an ophthalmologist
- Are 40 or over and are the parent/brother/sister/child of a person who has or had glaucoma
- Prescribed complex lenses under the NHS optical voucher scheme
VDU Examination
If you are required to use a VDU screen for more than two hours a day at work, your employer is obliged to pay for or provide an eye examination at least every two years, or more frequently if indicated. We are registered to accept most voucher payments or we can provide you with a full receipt so the cost of the test can be redeemed from your employer.
